1001 books to read before you grow up; and my journey to read them
I ran across this list while looking at another list I will be considering doing later on. I have been trying to find a good reading challenge for me that I will like given the amount of time I have and that I have siblings that are getting to the reading age.
I will be working my way down this list and completing one age group at a time. Looking through the 0-3 age group, I realize I have not read any of them which REALLY disappoints me in my reading as well as the books my parents were giving me! This is a journey I will take on and be giving my thoughts on periodically with updates on my progress as well as the books from the list I want my siblings to read and will probably begin searching to fill their library (though right now… I know the books would end in a torn apart mess in their room which makes me cry.)
I love books and am incredibly excited to share this love with my siblings. “L” is 9, “E” and “W” are 7 and “Olive” is 4. =) Good age to start pushing books on them, i know!
Recently my mom has gotten into making lotion and face scrubs with all natural oils. She has always appreciated and used all natural products but these are ones she has begun to make herself. I use the word “vacation” very loosely here. In this instance it simply means that I am somewhere other than my own home for an extended amount of time (until the 22nd to be exact). Ive spent the day being awake and taking care of my siblings at my parents house and the dog who… Continue reading Insomnia while on “vacation”
Today I spent a lot of time thinking about “Motherhood” both from the book I am reading and from the fact that I’ve spent the day babysitting my siblings, all 4 of them. I have a 9 year old brother, twin 7 year old brothers, and a 4 year old sister. A little over a month… Continue reading Motherhood
We had intended to finish this book March 15th, but all of us just could not put it down! Thus we finished it March 11th and have already picked the next book! This book was a wonderful read. It was easy and quick, and fun and enjoyable. The story line was awesome. I was never… Continue reading Roommate Book Club: Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
I lost my job a last week Thursday. I was told the reason was that I was not meeting “Business Needs” though I have a feeling someone may have heard a comment I made about wanting to quit (which I did) and fired me instead (which quite frankly, I am okay with since I was… Continue reading Job lost, sanity (sort of) renewed.
This book we finished march 3rdfor this book club we havestarted and though I read it in high school I was surprised how much i had forgotten. Its worth the read and quite short.
